Booking Policies

  • Guest has authorized Pirate Cove to charge Guest's credit card for the site rental for the full length of their stay to guarantee Guest's reservation.
  • Full payment is required at time of booking (including nightly rate × number of nights, utility fee, and lease fee).
  • We do not hold accommodations prior to payment or accept partial payments.
  • Rates are subject to change until booking is confirmed by making a full payment.

Check-In / Check-Out Policies

  • Check-In time is after 3:00 PM, California time. Check-Out time is before 11:00 AM, California time.
  • Early Check-in is only allowed with Registration prior approval and requires payment of $25 Early Check-in Fee.
  • Late Check-out is only allowed with Registration prior approval and requires payment of $50 Late Check-out Fee for campsites or $100 for cabins.
  • Guest is responsible for removal of all of Guest’s personal property prior to Check-Out time. If guest does not vacate the site by the Check-Out time, Guest will be charged a penalty of $50.00 per hour for campsites or $100.00 per hour for cabins.
    • If guests fail to vacate a cabin, management has the right to enter, remove and store guests’ possessions and re-code the key (Minimum storage fee $250).
  • Guest will be charged for leaving a messy campsite or damaged or missing Resort Property. Typical Costs include:
    • Campsite Clean-Up = $150.00 minimum
    • Disabled/Damaged Electric Pedestal = $750.00
    • Hose Bib = $350.00
    • Sewer Cleanout = $350.00
  • Guest authorizes all late Check-Out penalties, trash clean-up fees, Damage Costs, key deposit of $15/key, or any incurred house charges to be charged to the Guest’s credit card provided at check-in.

Occupancy and Equipment Regulations

Peninsula / Riverfront RV Sites

o One RV or Trailer with Haul Vehicle per site.

o Maximum of 2 “Toys” (Motorcycle, Golf Cart, ATV, Quad, Etc.) allowed on Each Campsite.

o Boat Trailers Must Park in Designated Trailer Parking Area and not on peninsula.

o Maximum of 4 guests per Site. Up to 2 additional guests or visitors are permitted with a daily fee per guest of $10.

o Two (2) dogs/pets per Campsite, with a Pet Fee of $20 per campsite. Aggressive breeds are not allowed in the Park. All pets must be on a maximum 6′ leash. Guests are responsible to pick-up after their pets or a $150 pet clean-up fee will be assessed.

o RV’s must be self-contained and RVIA (Recreational Vehicle Industry Association) approved. Any RV that presents itself in an unsafe condition will not be allowed entry to the Park.

o Proof of vehicle liability insurance and current registration is required at Check-In.

o Maximum of One 12′ X 12′ Sun Canopy/Shade Shelter on Site or Beach. In Lieu of Sun Canopy, Maximum of Two 2-Man Pup Tents on Site or Beach.

o No Fire Rings Permitted on Campsite – Only Enclosed Fire Pit

Launch Area (Non-Riverfront) RV Sites

o One RV or Trailer per site.

o Maximum of 1 Haul Vehicle or “Toy” (Motorcycle, Golf Cart, ATV, Quad, Etc.) allowed on Each Campsite.

o Boat Trailers Must Park in Overflow Parking Area or Security Fenced Dry Storage Area.

o Maximum of 4 guests per Site. Up to 2 additional guests or visitors are permitted with a daily fee per guest of $10.

o Two (2) dogs/pets per Campsite, with a Pet Fee of $20 per campsite. Aggressive breeds are not allowed in the Park. All pets must be on a maximum 6′ leash. Guests are responsible to pick-up after their pets or a $150 pet clean-up fee will be assessed.

o Site rate includes up to 4 guests. Additional guests (maximum 2) are $10 per person per night.

o Tents can be placed anywhere within the designated Tent Camping area identified on the park map. Specific camp sites are not assigned.

o Equipment allowed per reserved camping site:  2 tents  1 vehicle  1 canopy

o No tent stakes may be placed in any irrigated area with green grass.

o Water bibs and stationary BBQ’s are first come first serve. Guest-provided grills / BBQ’s are welcome. Extinguish stationary BBQ’s before departing.

o Two (2) dogs/pets per Campsite, with a Pet Fee of $20 per campsite. Aggressive breeds are not allowed in the Park. All pets must be on a maximum 6′ leash. Guests are responsible to pick-up after their pets or a $150 pet clean-up fee will be assessed.

• Group Campsites

o Tents can be placed anywhere within the designated Group Camping area identified on the park map. Specific camp sites are not assigned.

o Equipment allowances:  1 tent allowed per 2 paid guests.  1 vehicle allowed per 4 paid guests.  1 canopy allowed per 8 paid guests.

o No tent stakes may be placed in any irrigated area with green grass.

o Water bibs and stationary BBQ’s are first come first serve. Guest-provided grills / BBQ’s are welcome. Extinguish stationary BBQ’s before departing.

o Registered Park Guests must make arrangements with the park office for issuance of a pass for expected Visitors. Visitor passes are $5 per day per person.

Two (2) dogs/pets per Campsite, with a Pet Fee of $20 per campsite. Aggressive breeds are not allowed in the Park. All pets must be on a maximum 6′ leash. Guests are responsible to pick-up after their pets or a $150 pet clean-up fee will be assessed.

Cabins

o Occupancy is limited to a maximum of 6 guests per cabin; 4 adults comfortably.

o Limit of 2 vehicles per cabin in Cabin Parking Area. Boat trailers are prohibited from parking in the cabin parking area. Limit 1 boat trailer in Overflow Parking Lot per cabin. For additional trailers, Dry Storage spaces are available ($10/night or $30/week).

o Overnight boat mooring at the cabin and bar beaches is prohibited. Boat slips with cabin rental are available for $20/night or $120/week.

o A $300 Damage/Loss Deposit will be collected at check-in. Unused deposits will be refunded within 48 hours after Check-out. (Banks may take 3-10 days for refunds to be reflected in guest’s account.)

o Please do not wash cabin linens or towels. If you need a new set of linens or towels call (760) 326-9000 ext. 209 or ext.

0. First change is complementary. Additional changes are $50/change.

o Daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. Maid service is available at a cost of $55/cleaning.

o No pets allowed in or on the porches of cabins.This applies to both the rental party and any visitors.  Presence of any pets will result in immediate eviction from the property and full forfeiture of the entire cost of the rental (including nights not yet stayed) and the Security Deposit.  Any damage done by the pet shall be guest’s financial responsibility and will be charged to the guest’s card on file.

o Smoking and vaping are prohibited inside the cabin and will result in immediate eviction from the property and full forfeiture of the entire cost of the rental (including nights not yet stayed) and the Security Deposit.

o Management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone and will not be responsible for accidents/injuries or any loss of money/jewelry/personal property of any kind.

o Guests are responsible for any damaged or missing cabin inventory items. The Damage/Loss Deposit is only a reserve for damage/loss costs. Guests are responsible for the immediate payment of all costs if these exceed the deposit amount.

o Guest acknowledges that guest’s credit card will be charged for remaining payment due as well as the damage deposit at time of check-in. Guest authorizes all incidentals such linen & towel changes, late check-out penalties, damage costs, key deposit($15/key), or any incurred house charges to be charged to guest’s credit card provided at check-in or time of booking.

o Thermostat must be kept at 74 degrees or above, otherwise the HVAC unit may freeze and become inoperable for 4-5 hours. Keep windows & doors closed. Keep wall vent clear of luggage.

o To ensure A/C unit will operate properly, we have installed automatic closures on the front entry door. Please be aware when you step outside the front door you will need your key to re-enter the cabin, as it will automatically close and lock.

o Housekeeping will ensure the refrigerator is cold and operating properly prior to your check-in. However, if you fill the refrigerator with warm beverages/food it will take several hours to cool down your beverages. The refrigerator will need time to recover its own coolness before it can cool your beverages. By initially placing fewer warm beverages in the refrigerator, you will enjoy cool beverages more quickly.

o Beaches are considered “Bar Area/Licensed Premises”. Only alcohol purchased at the Bar can be consumed on the “Licensed Premises”. As per the California ABC Liquor Law, guests may only consume their own alcohol in cabins or on the cabin deck and patio.

o Canopies of any kind are prohibited on the beach as well as chairs, coolers, etc..

General Policies and Regulations

• Parking

o NO Public Parking Allowed On Any Street Within the Park

o Parking next to campsites and cabins is limited to the vehicle allowance stated under Occupancy and Equipment above.

o All excess vehicles, Visitor / Day Use Vehicles & Trailers MUST Park in the “Assigned Parking” Areas, Overflow Parking Area Or the Security Fenced Dry Storage Area.

o Unauthorized vehicles and/or vehicles parked in unauthorized areas are subject to towing and impound at the owner’s expense.

• Quiet Hours

o Quiet Hours are observed from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

o Generators, loud noises, loud talking, loud music and/or television are prohibited during these hours.

o Further disruptions capable of disturbing other guests, in any manner, are prohibited at any time. No registered camper or guest shall perform an act that will create or maintain a nuisance or annoyance, or which interferes with or obstructs and other person’s right to the peaceful and quiet enjoyment and/or normal operation of the park. This includes, but is not limited to, any unusual, disturbing / excessive noise, intoxication, quarrelling, verbal threats, fighting, immoral or illegal conduct, profanity or rude, boisterous objectionable or abusive language or conduct.

• Visitors

o Registered Park Guests and Mobile Home Tenants must make arrangements with the park office for issuance of a pass for expected Visitors.

o Additional guests or visitors in excess of site allowance require a fee of $10 per person per day.

o Please keep in mind there is a limit to the number of persons allowed on an RV Campsite, Cabin or Travel Trailer, at any time, inclusive of Visitors.

o Arrangements for Visitors can be made in person or by calling the park office at (760) 326-9000 ext.

0. All Visitor passes must be returned to the gate upon your Visitor’s departure or penalty charges will be applied.

 

• Vehicles

o Proof of vehicle liability insurance and current registration is required at Check-In for all vehicles.

o All Vehicles, including Tow vehicles, must be in good running order in case an emergency evacuation is required. Disabled vehicles and bikes are not permitted.

 

• Safety

o The park is natural area. Be aware of rattlesnakes, tarantulas, scorpions and other poisonous pests.

o Based on Fire and Health Department regulations, Pirate Cove has a clearly stated maximum occupancy, per cabin or travel trailer of 6 guests during an overnight accommodation. Should Pirate Cove staff, or third-party agencies, determine the guest count to exceed 6 persons, guests will be required to immediately vacate their cabin/travel trailer and will automatically forfeit all payments/ deposits paid for the reserved stay.

o The Colorado River and its bays are a hazardous natural waterway.  Pirate Cove is not responsible for injury, death or loss of property occurring on the river.  Guests are responsible for being aware of river currents and taking appropriate precautions.  Pirate Cove does not provide beach lifeguards, and guests enter the water at their own risk.

Force Majeure Policy

Pirate Cove cannot be held responsible for any guest inconveniences or losses which may occur due to the uncontrollable forces of Mother Nature. Particularly, when the high heat and winds that occur during Monsoon Season (typically July – September) may cause power outages. It is recommended that guests follow weather forecasts prior to arrival.

 

Indemnification

Camper and Guests agree to indemnify, defend (with counsel reasonable approved by Park) and hold harmless the Park and its authorized officers, employees, agents and volunteers from any and all claims, actions, losses, damages and/or liability arising out of this contract from any cause whatsoever including the acts, errors or omissions of any person and for any costs or expenses incurred by the Park on account of any claim except where such indemnification is prohibited by law. This indemnification provision shall apply regardless of the existence or degree of fault. This indemnification obligation applies to the Park’s “active” as well as “passive” negligence. The Park reserves the right to make such other and further reasonable rules as in its judgment may, from time to time, be necessary for the safety and cleanliness of the premises and for the preservation of good order.

MOABI REGIONAL PARK - RULES & REGULATIONS

  • 1. CAMPING FEES & LIMITS: To gain entrance to the Park and Campground, all entrance fees must be paid by the registered camper. All camping fees must be paid in advance on or before Check-In. Primitive/ Tent campers may not camp or occupy a campsite for more than fourteen (14) days in any thirty (30) day calendar period, except in designated areas.
  • 2. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS: No person(s) may enter the Park and/or Campground after having been denied entry nor may they re-enter after having their permit revoked by the Park Staff.
  • 3. VEHICLE LIABILITY: Mandatory liability insurance and current vehicle registration must be shown at camper check- in. The Park reserves the right to inspect your current insurance card at any time during your stay to assure compliance with the California Vehicle Code.
  • 4. MANAGEMENT RIGHT OF ENTRY: Park management has the right to enter the RV or tent campsite , or land adjacent, at any reasonable time without unreasonably disturbing the camper for (1) maintenance of utilities, (2) maintenance of the premises in accordance with Park Regulations when the camper fails to maintain the premises, and (3) protection of the Park.
  • 5. MOTORIZED VEHICLES: All motor driven vehicles, electric or gas golf carts and bicycles must observe posted speed limits, remain on roadway or designated bicycle paths and park only in designated areas. Golf carts may only be operated by a licensed driver and may not carry more passengers than the golf carts are designed to accommodate. California Vehicle Code sections and regulations are enforced .
  • 6. SCOOTER / SKATE RESTRICTIONS: The operation of all motor driven personal scooters and pocket bikes is prohibited on Park property. Additionally, skateboards, roller skates, rollerblading and in-line skating are not permitted because Park roads are not designed or maintained for these purposes.
  • 7. VESSEL RIDING RESTRICTIONS: Riding in a boat or on a personal watercraft while it is being transported through the Park, for any reason, is strictly prohibited.
  • 8. FIREARMS: Firearms of any type are strictly prohibited.
  • 9. SITE & PARKING RESTRICTIONS: Camp only in registered and designated site. Vehicles, toys and watercraft all limited per the rules for your designated camp site and must fit on your site as there is no parking on the street or areas outside your designated site. Unauthorized vehicles and/or vehicles parked in unauthorized areas are subject to towing and impound at the owner's expense.
  • 10. SECURITY: To promote security within the Park, all guests and visitors are required to display the RV, vehicle, trailer, vessel, and other permits issued by the Park. No soliciting is allowed in the Park.
  • 11. QUIET HOURS: Quiet Hours are observed from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM - generators, loud noises, loud talking, loud music and/or television are prohibited during these hours. Further disruptions capable of disturbing other campers, in any manner, are prohibited at any time.
  • 12. ALCOHOL & SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted in any building or within 50' of a building entry/exit door per California law. Excessive use of alcoholic beverages by anyone and alcohol consumption by those under age 21 is prohibited. California laws, including those prohibiting open alcohol containers and driving under the influence, apply to all operators of all motorized vehicles within the Park.
  • 13. CAMPSITE MAINTENANCE: Campsites must be kept clean and free of clutter and debris. Please do not litter. Trash receptacles must be used at all times. No large items or hazardous waste material may be placed in the trash receptacles.
  • 14. FISHING LICENSES: A California fishing license is required at Moabi. Fishing from a boat requires an additional Arizona River stamp.
  • 15. CAMPFIRES: Campfires are permitted unless seasonal and/or Red Flag (windy) restrictions apply. Information on restrictions is available at the Park office. Campfires must be fully contained in approved fire pits/BBQ's and must not be left unattended.

  • 17. DOGS: Dogs must be on a maximum 6' (six foot) leash or confined at all times. Leashes shall not be tied or attached to any tree or shrub. Camper is responsible to clean up pet droppings. Proof of current licensing and vaccinations may be required at Check-In. There is a maximum of two (2) dogs per site.
  • 18. AGGRESSIVE ANIMALS: Aggressive animals are not allowed in the Park or in the Campgrounds at any time . Dog breeds such as Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, wolf hybrids, Rottweilers, mixes thereof and any dogs exhibiting aggressive behavior are restricted from the Park.
  • 19. PARK PROPERTY: Persons shall not remove, destroy, mutilate or vandalize any Park Property at any time.
  • 20. VEHICLE REPAIRS: No vehicle repairs are permitted, including oil changes, on any Park property.
  • 21. HOLDING TANKS: Dumping or emptying of holding tanks may only be done at the Campground dump station or a full hook-up campsite. Dumping in any other area is prohibited.
  • 22. VEHICLE OPERATION: All vehicles, including tow vehicles, must be in good running order in case an emergency evacuation is required. Disabled vehicles and bikes are not permitted.
  • 23. CAMPGROUND CONDUCT: No registered camper or guest shall perform an act that will create or maintain a nuisance or annoyance, or, which interferes with or obstructs any other person's right to the peaceful and quiet enjoyment and/or normal operation of the Park. This includes, but is not limited to, any unusual, disturbing or excessive noise, intoxication, quarreling, verbal threats, fighting, immoral or illegal conduct, profanity or rude, boisterous, objectionable or abusive language or conduct.
  • 24. BEWARE OF POISONOUS PESTS: The Park is a natural area. Be aware of rattlesnakes, tarantulas, scorpions and other poisonous insects.
  • 25. Check-In is 3:00 PM California time. Check-Out is 11:00 AM California time. Guests, or their personal property, remaining onsite after Check-Out time may be charged a penalty of $50/hour. However, should Guest fail to vacate their site timely, thus prohibiting an in-coming Guest from occupancy of the subject site, management has the right to remove/tow and store delinquent Guest's possessions at delinquent Guest's sole expense. INDEMNIFICATION: Camper and Guests agree to indemnify, defend (with counsel reasonable approved by Park) and hold harmless the Park and its authorized officers, employees, agents and volunteers from any and all claims, actions, losses, damages and/or liability arising out of this contract from any cause whatsoever including the acts, errors or omissions of any person and for any costs or expenses incurred by the Park on account of any claim except where such indemnification is prohibited by law.
